Team: Radiant Designs
Problem Statement: There is a need for an easily portable, fail-safe device that will take a radioactive sample from a pipe and place it into a container such that the operator can handle it without being exposed to radiation.
Solution: Retractable rod that extends into the pipe to collect a 30-80mg sample. The blade mechanism scrapes the sample from the pipe and drops it into a container that will protect the user from any contact with radioactive materials.
Cost: $50
