Project background
This client has limited flexibility and hand strength which makes it difficult to independently go to the washroom. The main difficulty is pulling her pants down and back up. She cannot reach around to the back to help pull the clothing over her bum.

Your task is to design a portable device to help her pull down and pull up her pants when she needs to go to the bathroom. The device must have a releasable clamp to grab onto the clothing which she is able to operate herself and which is strong enough to hold onto the clothing while pulling up. An electronic solution may be needed. This clamp must also have an adjustable handle to help her pull up/down. The device must be lightweight and waterproof. It must also be small and extremely portable but allow the client to keep using it as she grows. It should be intuitive to use and easy to maintain.
Past attempts
One team has worked on the project in Winter 2024 however the concept needs more refinement. The design must be strong but needs to be as light as possible and also needs a better way to grip the clothing.
