Project background
In a world where varying disabilities or even aging challenges are not typically taken into account, some everyday tasks can be an obstacle and remove the ability to independently perform these tasks. For people with limited mobility or limited core strength it can be quite difficult to reach across yourself and fasten a seat belt.

Your task is to design a device or system that can help this client reach the male part of the seat belt and then place and guide it into the female seat belt buckle. It must not hinder the normal operation of the seat belt and must be robust for repeated use. It must also be easy to install and intuitive to operate. Ideally it should also be adjustable for different people or a growing child and adaptable for different vehicles.
Past attempts
One previous group has attempted to find a solution however it did not provide enough stability for the seat belt buckle to move across the webbing reliably. It must also travel with more ease across the webbing. More consideration for the surrounding booster seat must be taken into account. Other attempts provided a better ability to pull the seat belt across but there is still missing features to be able to easily clip and unclip the buckle.
