Problem Statement:

To provide the domestic violence victims in the city of Ottawa a safe place to sleep, a lightweight bed frame that can support a single 250lb person, be compacted and transported, while being made entirely out of cardboard, needs to be made.

Budget: $100.

Solution

The design of the bed frame consists of four legs that can be nested within each other. The legs have corrugated tops, on which slats of cardboard lay on. Within each individual leg, boxes are situated at the base to provide reinforcement.
