The Fast and Fabricating Five created a system that allows for walkers to be steered with one arm. This system was specifically meant for our client to steer her walker with one hand as she has hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome which is a genetic connective tissue disorder. Meaning she had the need for a walker that allows her to steer with either arm as any one of her shoulders can dislocate. Our system allows for easy maneuverability as there is one bar that supports her weight and one bar that she can use for steering. The bar meant for steering can be placed anywhere across the first bar allowing for easy adjustments when any of her shoulders dislocate. The system can be easily removed so the seat can be accessible and the bars can bend in half for easy storing.
