DESCRIPTION

Greenhouse Construction 4

A rectangular greenhouse with the dimensions 6 ft long x 4 ft wide x 6 ft high, with a traditional triangular roof. The greenhouse was made using wood, 6 millimeter polyethylene for the walls, and corrugated plastic panels for the roof. The side walls disassemble into 3 sections and the back disassembles into 2 sections. They would connect to each other and the floor and roof using nuts and bolts. This was done to increase the portability of the greenhouse, and allow for easier transportation. Windows were added as well to allow for control of air flow in greenhouse. They were made in a way where they would swing on a dowel to open and close. As well, aluminum gutters were attached to the edges of the roof in order to collect water for the hydroponics team.
