DESCRIPTION
The Sound Interaction Device project, developed by our team Nexus, is designed to help a non-verbal client explore and interact with different sounds and music to identify what may calm them when stressed. The device is a physical unit built with an Arduino, a breadboard, and buttons. When a button is pressed, it plays a specific audio track, allowing the client to engage with various sounds on demand. The main goal is to make it easy for the client and caregivers to search for and save calming sounds as presets for quick access. The design prioritizes ease of use, with large, easy-to-press buttons, and focuses on durability and safety. By providing a tool for exploring and selecting calming tracks, the device supports better communication between the client and caregivers, helping the client manage stress and express themselves through sound.
