 Our client has a movement disability and is unable to open the window on her own. We need to design a mechanism that fits her requirements to be able to open the window automatically. Our group has made a chained mechanism that attaches to the windowsill and moves using a motor that is connected to a remote app that can close and open the window when needed. The cost for the project would roughly be $175 and most of the purchases would be based on Amazon so if someone buys these materials in a store it should cost less. The main struggle with this project is that there are a few metal components that will have to be welded together as well as the coding from the app being used.
