


DESCRIPTION
Problem Statement: The client needs a safe, cost-effective, and durable testing device to measure the environmental parameters and increase the effect of erosion on the material accurately and consistently, all the while capable of showing results within a month.
Our Solution: We designed an erosion-testing device that vertically holds the sample on a rod and spins a slurry around it to cause erosion.
Cost: Approximately $96
Details:
- Ensure the motor that spins the system does not overheat
- The rod that holds the sample must securely fit the cavity in the lid where the motor is placed
- Make sure that the sample can be held tightly in its allocated space throughout the erosion testing process
