Project background
People who use wheelchairs or who can't stand for prolonged time have difficulty using powered hand tools safely while sitting down. Using a jigsaw for example requires the user to apply downwards pressure and be above the tool to comfortably squeeze the trigger which is not realistic to do while sitting.
Your task is to design a type of small workbench which can be adjusted in height and angle. It must be comfortable to use for a person sitting down. It must be safe and sturdy. There must be a way to clamp onto the wood/material so that it doesn't slip while working with it. It must allow tools to puncture the material but not damage the workbench (like in the case of a jigsaw). The work surface should be able to be set at different angles depending on what is being worked on.
