When someone has an injury they may require a bandage to cover the wound. Depending on the severity of the wound the bandage may need to be changed multiple times and the wound would need to be checked for signs of infection. Especially in busy hospitals, nursing homes, etc bandages might not get checked as often as they should and it can lead to unnecessary complications. Some early signs of infection are temperature and pH changes.

Your task is to design a bandage or an add-on to existing bandages that can monitor healing of a wound and detect early signs of inflection. The monitoring information must be displayed on the bandage itself and it must be reliable. The device must be able to be sterilized and cleaned easily. It should be intuitive to use and easy to apply/install. Ideally the information can also be relayed remotely to an app.
