When positions are made available for shift workers it is not always easy to know immediately. Workers are not always checking when positions are updated and they may miss key opportunities. Phones already have too many alerts and in some cases workers may not have their phones with them so a solution independent of a mobile device is needed.

Your task is to design a pager-like device to alert them about shift work. It must be able to receive notifications to alert them of available positions. It can incorporate the ability to reply in the device or reply in a different way. It should be easy to use, small and portable. It should be accessible for as many people as possible.
