Project background / Contexte du projet
KPC has a product called LaddaLift which is a device to help lift a person off the ground when caregivers are not able. Currently it requires an able-bodied person to help the person who has fallen to use the device. It has been tested with common household items and here is more info on it:

Your task is to develop a solution like the LaddaLift so that a person with a disability can lift themselves, or with limited help, as long as they have one good hand/arm. It can be improvements on the existing design or another concept. The device must be as accessible and cheap as possible but remain rugged and reliable. It must also be safe and prevent any accidental falls.
