Wheelchairs or other mobility devices are not known for fully accommodating all of their users. Many customization have been made for cup holders for example like these ones https://makersmakingchange.com/resource/device-selection-guide-cup-holders/.
Most cup holders that exist will be attached somewhere on the wheelchair however this client is looking to keep their cup on the wheelchair tray. They have a fairly standard wheelchair tray and use a plastic coffee cup.
Your task is to design a device that will securely hold a cup on a wheelchair tray. It must not be knocked off with sudden movements. It must be waterproof and very rugged. If it is made of multiple parts, each one must be easy to replace and be assembled.

The previous team had a simple and robust design however the device is mounted too far from the client and is not comfortable to use.
