Project background
Some people use eye gaze cameras to control the mouse and interactions on their computers. Just like a webcam, it is desirable to cover this camera when it is not in use. This patient uses a Tobii Dynavox I-13 access device which uses eye gaze tracking and an iPhone which uses a head mouse. The reflective dot on his forehead for iPhone control picks up light from the Tobii gaze cameras and causes interference and therefore inaccurate control.

Your task is to design a system that would be activated with a switch based on the patient’s capabilities and which is easy to use and would independently let them cover and uncover the eye gaze camera at will. The switch should activate a software on the Tobii device through wireless communication which would turn off the cameras in the device.
Past attempts
One previous group worked on this problem and they made a hardware based solution however a software solution is preferred since the hardware specifications may change between device models.
