Project background
Social distancing markers in public places as well as clear barriers or shields are very difficult to navigate for someone with visual impairments. If there is writing on markers on the floor or only a small opening in a window to interact with a cashier, help is often needed. Social distancing has also made it more difficult to get help from someone to read prices or other signs in a store. Your task is to create a way for people with visual impairments to locate important information, read it and navigate around barriers without needing help from anyone else.
