The CEED areas need an inexpensive and effective way to manage their inventory in real time, while keeping the process simple enough to encourage participation. We will solve this problem by keeping track of a scanner to upload data to Dashboard as items are removed or added. The item quantities will automatically be updated as they are used and will be able to be tracked on Dashboard. The user will be able to easily see the quantities available, as well as see an alert when the quantity has dropped below a preset value. The only cost associated with the system is the cost of the scanner as the rest will be taken care of through Dashboard, and possibly for viewing online. A computer will be necessary to run Dashboard but the cot of a computer is not taken into account. Struggles people may have with duplicating the design are likely to be with the operation of the Dashboard interface as it is likely they have not used it before.
