DESCRIPTION
The footRover is a foot mouse that was created to allow a disabled individual to use his computer more efficiently. It was built with functionality, accessibility and sustainability in mind.
For the code, we used a Raspberry Pi Pico W coded with the Arduino IDE in C. The code allows for direct connection to any computer without any drivers, this is possible since the Raspberry Pi Pico W acts as a HID device. The code was adapted and expanded from one found https://www.instructables.com/Raspberry-Pi-Pico-As-HID-Mouse/ .
We designed the housing in solidworks, it was the exported to DXF, opened in solidworks and cut using the laser cuter. It has special button holes that allow for easy twist and remove.
