: With automation becoming more mainstream nowadays for various reasons, University of Ottawa wanted an automatic kitchen to reduce cost and increase efficiency to give better service to students. In response to that, our group designed an automatic ingredient portioner and dispenser which not only distributes a portion of food for cooking, but also stores bulk of the ingredients in a safe environment for restaurants. We hope to improve efficiency as well as be cost effective in the long run for the owners of the restaurants and the customers who buy food here in University of Ottawa. Our bulk storage will be able to store at least 50 portions of each ingredient for the restaurant, and dispenses one portion of ingredient safely and efficiently when needed.
