Task:

Work as a team to develop a prototype of a public sculpture for an outdoor art exhibition with an interactive human element, 80% recycled materials and a budget of $100 CAD.

Solution:

Fallen is a sculpture inspired by themes of symbiosis in nature, inverted relationships, tragedy and loss. It contains a human interactive element using an Arduino microcontroller, three ultrasonic sensors and a RGB LED strip. The final sculpture is designed to change the viewers perspectives on dichotomies in nature in addition to giving an exaggerated example of a mutation in nature that we can expect if we continue to poorly manage waste materials as a species.
