DESCRIPTION
The uOttawa Library lacks accessibility for people with visual impairments or other disabilities. We designed a wayfinding website that gives audio and visual directions to various waypoints throughout the library so that someone can easily get around. The cost of this project was $0 as everything was designed on a computer using free software. We have mapped out the directions from every way point to every other waypoint so that someone can get anywhere in the library without needing to return to an origin. This represents over 100 different combinations of directions. Using a text to speech API, we are able to bring audio cues which read the visual directions to the user. With this, we hope to make the uOttawa library more accessible to all. https://uottawawayfinding.wordpress.com

To access and edit the website, an invitation must be sent through email to become an administrator, at which point the user or client may modify the site settings and invite people on their own.
