DESCRIPTION
The robotic arm is designed for a patient at Saint Vincent hospital with limited hand and arm mobility. The spoon lifts food from the client's tray to the client's mouth. The frame is laser cut from acrylic then uses a MDF backing to screw in the motors. The design uses a high torque servo, a continuous motion servo and a stepper motor. Included is the combined code, and the dimensions to be laser cut. The shaft coupler is modified from a design on Thingiverse for the dimensions of the shaft of our servo.
