DESCRIPTION
This project addresses the challenge faced by individuals with limited motor function who cannot easily press a laptop’s power button. Our solution is a two-part wireless system using ESP32 modules: one unit with a large, accessible button and the other with a servo motor that physically presses the laptop's power button. The system is housed in custom 3D-printed enclosures and communicates via ESP-NOW for fast and reliable transmission. The estimated cost is approximately $67 CAD per unit.
Some key challenges for duplication may include ESP32 pairing setup, and secure battery management for reliable long-term use.
