Our team was tasked with creating a kinetic art installation made up of at least 80% recycled material. Our goal was to promote recycled art while also exploring the theme of time relativity. Using recycled CD's and mirrors, the sculpture catches the eye with its colorful reflections and distorted images. This effect is enhanced by a simultaneous spinning of both discs. The main reflective disc interacts with the viewers through their own distorted reflections, while the smaller disc symbolizes time and its relativity by spinning faster as people approach and slower as they move away from the sculpture.
